I was born on May 7th and grew up in a small town near Berkeley, California. From elementary through high school I was the shyest nerd you would ever find. I took art classes since I was very young, and had a lot of pets: a dog, cat, fish, hamsters, birds, and a rabbit. My favorite was a shih-tzu I called "Puppy." My crowning achievement was winning the spelling bee in 6th grade.
In junior high, I was still very quiet and petrified of everyone. I was in the honor roll, played violin and then sax in band, and cried a lot. (Junior high kids are EVIL!) I spent all my money on trendy clothes and accessories because I wanted to be popular. (Didn't happen.)
In high school, I took more art classes and won some art awards. Even though I was the biggest wannabe in the world, somehow I went to a lot of proms. In my senior year of high school I was a cheerleader. I hated cheering but loved performing the dance routines.
After graduation, I went to Diablo Valley College in Concord. I joined Asian Student Union and performed with their hip hop dance group. I took a Photoshop class, which was the best thing I could have done, because now I use Photoshop all the time. I went to church and played the drum set for the young adult group.
I enrolled at San Jose State University and lived in the dorms for a year. I buzzed off my hair, got my tattoo, and pierced my nose. I started doing people's hair as a hobby. I got a bachelor's degree in Pictorial Art in December of 2000.
In October 2001, I was having a crisis (getting older and going nowhere), so I went online and discovered the Asian modeling industry. I sent a few pictures to websites and started doing shoots. I started going to car shows and doing little fashion shows as well. I put my site together with the help of a book called "Teach Yourself HTML 4."
I enrolled in beauty school in May '02 and got my cosmetology license a year later. I got a job as a hairstylist/makeup artist in a salon near San Jose, California. In the summer of '03, I started doing glamour photography and added the models section to my site.
In Feb '05 I moved to LA, where I continue to model, go-go dance, and do background acting. For a deeper look into my daily life, please read my xanga:
